One benefit of living in a big city is that we can order groceries online and have them delivered when we want. This shipment arrived around 11pm on a Monday. They have the *best* produce. There is no same day delivery, but if you're wiling to plan you can avoid dragging a cart full of stuff home.

I just found a grocery store here that will let me pick up my order, without going in the store! It may not be delivery, but it is awesome!
That's good enough, I bet. For me the hard part is that we don't have a car so getting a big list of stuff, especially with lots of heavy items, home is difficult.
